MeraHaq is a free, independent website at merahaq.online that helps Indian citizens find government schemes, understand their rights, and access helplines. We are not affiliated with any government body, political party, or commercial organisation.

2. What We Collect

We do NOT collect:

Your name, email, phone number, or Aadhaar
Anything you type in the Scheme Finder or RTI Tool — these run 100% in your browser
Your precise location or GPS data

We DO collect anonymously (via Google Analytics):

Which pages were visited and for how long
General city/region (not your exact location)
Device type and browser

✅ Your IP address is never stored — it is anonymised before any data is saved.

3. Contact Form

If you contact us, we receive your message via Telegram. You can stay fully anonymous — name and contact details are optional. We use your message only to reply to you and never share it with anyone.

4. Cookies & Ads

We use Google Analytics (anonymous traffic data) and Google AdSense (ads that keep the site free). Google may show interest-based ads using your browsing history. You can opt out at any time:

5. Children's Privacy

MeraHaq is not directed at children. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years of age. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our contact form, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights

Under India's DPDPA 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Since we collect almost no personal data, exercising these rights is simple:

To delete a contact form message — reach out via our Contact page and we will remove it within 7 days.
To opt out of analytics — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on.
To opt out of personalised ads — visit Google Ads Settings.

We do not sell your data to anyone — ever.

7. Data Security

MeraHaq is served entirely over HTTPS. Contact form messages go directly to our inbox and are not stored in any database. There are no user accounts or passwords on this site. The Scheme Finder and RTI Tool never send data outside your device.
