Why MeraHaq Exists
India has hundreds of central and state government welfare schemes — PM Kisan, Ayushman Bharat, MGNREGA, scholarships, housing schemes, insurance schemes, and many more. Billions of rupees are allocated every year for the benefit of ordinary citizens.
Yet most eligible families never claim these benefits. Not because they don't qualify — but because they don't know these schemes exist, don't understand how to apply, or find the process too confusing.
The same is true for legal rights. Every Indian has constitutional and legal rights — the right to free legal aid, the right to file an RTI, the right to emergency hospital treatment, the right against workplace harassment. Most people never exercise these rights simply because nobody told them they had them.
MeraHaq was built to fix this. We present official government information in plain, simple language — so every Indian, regardless of education level or income, can understand what they are entitled to and how to get it.
