🔧 Fix #1
eKYC Not Done — Most Common Reason (Fix in 2 Minutes)
If your status shows "eKYC Pending" or your recent installments show as blocked while older ones were credited — eKYC is the cause. MGNREGA introduced mandatory eKYC from 2022.
How to Fix
1
Visit pmkisan.gov.in → Farmer's Corner → eKYC
2
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar numberand click "Search".
3
Enter OTP sent to Aadhaar-linked mobileIf OTP doesn't come, your mobile isn't linked to Aadhaar — visit any CSC for biometric eKYC instead.
4
See "eKYC done successfully"Next installment will be automatically processed. ✅
⚠️ Mobile Not Linked to Aadhaar? Visit any CSC centre with your Aadhaar card. The operator does biometric (fingerprint) eKYC — free of charge. Takes 5 minutes.
🔧 Fix #2
Aadhaar Not Linked to Bank Account — DBT Cannot Reach You
PM-KISAN payments go through NPCI's Aadhaar Payment Bridge (APB). If your Aadhaar is not linked (seeded) to your bank account, the government system cannot find your account to credit.
How to Fix
Visit your bank branch with original Aadhaar card and passbook. Ask the officer to "seed Aadhaar to your account". Takes 5 minutes. Most reliable method.
Via Net Banking — login → Profile/Services → Link Aadhaar → Enter Aadhaar → OTP verification
Via ATM — some banks have "Link Aadhaar" option in ATM menu
Via SMS — some banks accept: UID<space>AADHAAR<space>ACCOUNT to 567676
After linking, verify at NPCI: visit npci.org.in → "Aadhaar Mapper" → enter Aadhaar to confirm which bank account is mapped for DBT payments.
🔧 Fix #3
Wrong Bank Account Details — Account Number or IFSC Error
If your bank account number or IFSC code was entered incorrectly during registration, payments are returned or fail silently. This is common when farmers recently changed banks or accounts.
How to Fix
Bank account update cannot be done online — it requires physical verification to prevent fraud
Visit your State Agriculture Department office or any CSC centre with: new bank passbook, Aadhaar card, PM-KISAN registration number
The update is processed in 7–15 days after submission
You can also call 155261 to check what account number is currently registered
🔧 Fix #4
Land Record Mismatch — Name Spelling Difference
If the name on your land records (jamabandi, 7/12 extract) is spelled differently than your Aadhaar card, the system flags your registration for verification. Even minor differences like "Ramesh" vs "Ramesh Kumar" can cause a mismatch.
How to Fix
Option 1 — Correct land records: Visit local Tehsildar or Patwari office to get the name corrected in land records to match Aadhaar exactly. Requires an application and some processing time.
Option 2 — Correct Aadhaar name: If Aadhaar name is wrong, update it at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra (₹50) to match land records.
After correction, re-submit your PM-KISAN registration or update at your State Agriculture Dept.
📌 Check Your Land Record Name Now: Pull up your land record (jamabandi/7-12/RoR) and compare every letter with your Aadhaar name. The system does exact matching — "Devi" and "Devi Bai" are treated as different names.
If you became a government employee, started paying income tax, or another family member in the same household is already receiving PM-KISAN — you may be flagged. Check at pmkisan.gov.in → Beneficiary Status. If listed as "Ineligible", contact your Block Agriculture Officer or District Agriculture Office for clarification.
Fix #6: Duplicate Registration
If the same Aadhaar or bank account was registered twice (often due to assisting agents registering farmers multiple times), the system blocks both registrations. Call 155261 to identify which registration is active. Visit State Agriculture Office to get the duplicate deactivated and the correct registration restored.
Fix #7: PFMS/Bank Technical Failure
Sometimes the payment is released by the government but fails due to a bank-side technical issue — closed account, dormant account, or bank migration. In this case: visit your bank branch and check if any PM-KISAN credit was received and returned. If the account was closed, update your bank details (Fix #3 above). For dormant accounts, first reactivate by doing any transaction, then check next installment.

❓ FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions — Verified 2025
"Payment Success" in PM-KISAN means the government released the funds to your bank. It does not always mean the money has reached your account. Check: (1) Is the bank account number in PM-KISAN correct? (2) Is the account active/operational? (3) Was the account closed after registration? Visit your bank with your passbook. If the bank received and returned the funds, request them to trace the credit.
Yes. If you were eligible but didn't receive past installments due to a fixable technical reason (eKYC not done, wrong bank details), once the issue is corrected, the government typically releases all pending installments together in the next payment cycle. The PM-KISAN system tracks pending credits — fixing the root cause usually releases all arrears automatically.
eKYC alone doesn't release payments — all 5 conditions must be met: (1) eKYC done, (2) Aadhaar linked to bank, (3) correct bank details, (4) no land mismatch, (5) not in exclusion list. After fixing eKYC, check the remaining 4 conditions. If all are clear and 2 full months have passed since the last installment release date, call 155261 for individual case investigation.
