Benefits of PMMVY

Under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, a cash incentive of ₹5,000 is provided in three installments to eligible beneficiaries:

The cash incentive is directly transferred to the beneficiary's bank/post office account.

How to Apply

  1. Registration: Register at the nearest Anganwadi Centre (AWC) or approved health facility within the first 150 days of pregnancy.
  2. Form Submission: Fill out Form 1A (Registration Form) along with required documents.
  3. Antenatal Check-up: Ensure you undergo at least one antenatal check-up (ANC) to be eligible for the second installment.
  4. Child Birth & Immunization: Register the child's birth and ensure the child receives the first cycle of immunization.

A2: An Aadhar Card is a mandatory document for PMMVY. You should apply for one immediately if you don't have it.

Q3: How long does it take to receive the installments?

A3: After successful verification of documents and fulfilling the conditions, the installments are typically processed within a few weeks to a month. Delays may occur due to administrative reasons.

Q4: Can government employees avail of this scheme?

A4: No, women who are employed with the Central Government, State Government, or Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are not eligible for PMMVY.
